Company Information

JS Genetics is a Delaware corporation with corporate offices in Short Hills, New Jersey, and laboratory CLIA certified CAP accredited facilities in New Haven, Connecticut.

The Company has a two-pronged approach to building its commercial business:

1. Develop and market inexpensive, convenient and accurate DNA diagnostic tests for newborns and adolescent children.  The use of cheek swabs makes our tests easy to administer while the pyrosequencing-based approach used to develop them is low-cost and scalable for high throughput.  The genetic markers used in these tests are proprietary assets of the Company.  Patents for these markers have been filed and are under review by the Patent and Trademark office.

DNA Diagnostics: rapid screening for:

Turner Syndrome, Klinefelter Syndrome, Predisposition to Dyslexia, Fragile X,Trisomy 21/ Rapid Aneuploidy Panel

2. Identify novel therapeutic compounds, establish proof-of-concept in pre-clinical models and out-license the product to a drug development partner in exchange for upfront cash and downstream sales royalties. Our core competency is —and will always be— developing genetic diagnostic tests.  Any drugs that are discovered or in-licensed in our pre-clinical programs will be outsourced after completion of proof-of-concept studies.

The Company has established a network of research collaborations with pediatric endocrinology centers in New England for its Turner Syndrome program and partnerships with academic and research organizations in the UK and Canada for its Dyslexia program.  We also have an ongoing partnership with the Yale Drug Screening Center for our PWMI therapeutic program.

JS Genetics has assembled a highly experienced and talented team of researchers and business people to build a strong scientific and commercial enterprise.  The Board of Directors has a combined 50 years of experience in medical device development, finance; marketing and reimbursement (see Management and Board bios).  In addition, we have assembled a Scientific Advisory Board consisting of world-class scientists and physicians with expertise relevant to the Company’s area of product development, mainly DNA diagnostics.
